Landscaping should look great all year round, not just when it has been recently mulched. GroundSmart Landscape Rubber Mulch is an environmentally-friendly and money-saving alternative to traditional bark and wood mulch for commercial and residential landscaping projects. Landscapers have relied upon organic mulch as groundcover for hundreds of years for one simple reason: There was no better alternative. Now there is.

Rubber landscape mulch is more durable, cost-effective, lower-maintenance and eco-friendly than wood mulch, stone and other traditional landscaping materials. Rubber mulch for landscaping is an excellent weed suppressant, won’t harbor harmful pests like termites, rodents or spiders, and is resistent to mold and fungus. Available in five beautiful colors, all backed by our 12-Year Color Lock guarantee, GroundSmart rubber mulch is a superior solution for any landscaping project.

Your wallet and your back will thank you!

My lawn is cut by a lawn company. The man who uses a blower uses a powerful gas driven blower. How heavy is the rubber mulch cmpared to wood mulch? Will it stand up to a blower and not be blown out of the flower bed? Thank you

GroundSmart™ Rubber Mulch is heavier than wood mulch and will not blow out of landscaping and flower beds as easily as wood mulch. We know that everyone wants and expects their landscape and flower beds to look fresh and clean after maintenance. GroundSmart™ Rubber Mulch is heavy enough to stay in place while the clippings and debris are blown away.

We purchased a new house a couple of years ago and the builder put down some cheap wood mulch. My husband replace the wood mulch right after we moved in with your product and it still looks fantastic. All of our neighbors comment how good our landscaping looks and are now replacing their wood mulch with your product. Thanks for making such a great product and being environmentally conscious.

we have a house with pine straw as mulch. we are concerned that rubber would be too hot for the new shrubs, and would provide no nutrients like regular mulch. we have already eliminated stone as an option for those two reasons–why is your product better than regular mulch?

Based on using pine straw and a concern with heat you probably live in the Southeast. Regarding your heat concern: Rubber Mulch will get a little warmer than dry wood mulch, but not enough to negatively impact plants. Additionally, the shape of rubber mulch allows air flow throughout the mulch to aid cooling. Regarding nutrients: Wood mulch provides very little nutrients as it decomposes. Rubber Mulch does not provide nutrients but allows water and nutrients to pass directly into the soil versus getting soaked up and absorbed by the wood mulch. Additionally, Rubber Mulch does not attract insects like wood mulch, including termites. Lastly, Rubber Mulch will not rot, mold , mildew or grow fungus like wood mulch.

Sometimes there is a slight oder when the mulch is first installed. It usually fades within a day or so.

Our apologies, but we do not currently offer our Rubber Mulch in purple. We wish we could tell you to rub the red and blue together, but our color-bonding process prevents the colors from bleeding or mixing.

I know that Lowe’s sell it. I hear that it is so expensive, but in the long run, it would be worth it.

Is the rubber mulch safe for animals. I am interested in using it around our landscape at our Veterinary Hospital. We walk the dogs and they sometimes poop or pee in the bark. Do you think it would be practical for us to use the rubber mulch? And does it come in a color similar to regular brown bark.
    Thank you
