Sustainability and stewardship, how we at IMC Outdoor Living, a division of Liberty Tire Recycling view our world.

Sustainability is a requirement of our generation to manage resources so the quality of life we enjoy today can be shared with future generations to come. We see the concept and practice of stewardship as the responsible overseeing and protection of something we consider worth caring for and preserving.

We at IMC Outdoor Living view sustainability and stewardship as two founding principles that work in harmony with one another – protect the world we have today and preserve it for those in the near and distant future.

To date, we have recycled more than 1,000,000,000 pounds of rubber which is equivalent to more than 62,000,000 tires. If we did not give these tires a second life, they would have gone to our increasingly overcrowded landfills. We could not be prouder of this accomplishment. When we started creating and manufacturing products made from recycled tires the United States was littered with tire piles and landfills pushed to the brink. By purchasing recycled products like ours, you the consumer, have helped almost eliminate in just a decade what took our country almost a half century to create.

In late 2018 we became part of Liberty Tire Recycling, the largest tire recycling company in the world.  Each and every year, our parent company collects more than 180,000,000 tires and recycles more than 2,600,000,000 pounds of rubber, diverting these end-of-life tires from the waste stream, contributing to the well-being of communities and long-term health of our planet.

So why do we do what we do?  Recycled rubber makes many products and materials already in production even better. Rubber asphalt is safer and longer lasting than traditional asphalt. Rubber mulch outperforms wood mulch. Tire-derived fuel is cleaner than fossil fuels. The examples go on and on. And, in the end, recycling rubber keeps millions of scrap tires out of landfills each year, making the entire process a true green alternative.

The level of commitment we have at IMC Outdoor Living, a division of Liberty Tire Recycling, toward making our world a better place is reflected in the products that we manufacture and the consumers across North America that are looking to become better stewards of the land.
